By 1:30pm, the truck was empty. My dad, husband and I went to return the U-Haul, and stop by our old house to pick up as much left-over stuff as we could get in our cars. We got almost everything out. There were just a few items left in a closet and the garage. We decided to call it a day. We went back to our new house and began working to get the baby's room together. I also worked to sort out the kitchen and our bedroom. We worked until 10pm before we finally couldn't work any longer.
The "fun" of home ownership has already begun. The master toilet wasn't flushing property, and my husband had to fix it last night. On Sunday night, we were settling in to watch our Netflix movie. Suddenly, we heard a tremendous crashing sound. We had no idea what it was. We finally found that a shelf in our master closet had buckled under the weight of my pants and shoes, and said items, along with the shelf, had come crashing down to the floor. When we saw the mess, we had to laugh a little.
Slowly but surely, the house is starting to look more like a house and less like a storage unit. Here are some photos of our new house.

Of course, the kitties are settling in just fine. They own the place!
